Yayasan Kebajikan Rakyat Malaysia (YKRM) is a humanitarian based NGO that believes in reaching out to all Malaysians regardless of their demographics – be it race, religion, political stand or socio-economy status. YSRM activities are usually focused on empowering the youths especialy students. As such, we invest lots of time in organising various seminars, counselling sessions and motivational camps. Besides, we offer lots of courses related to economy, entrepreneurship and management which are essential for everyone in today’s world.

Our Mission

Yayasan Kebajikan Rakyat Malaysia (YKRM) mission is focused primarily on orphans and the needy. We will locate those who are extremely impoverished and try to bring them into a place of wholeness and afford them the ability to develop their true potential. This will be done through the provision of proper nutrition, educational empowerment and personal counselling, friendship, motivation and encouragement.

Our Vision

It is our vision to build a community where the less privileged can dream again and be empowered to see their dreams come alive. We endeavour to give hope to anyone who has none and given up on life.

Our Mission

One of our aims is to create a safe haven where the less privileged can also enjoy life. To achieve the aim, we need your to help us raise funds to implement our programmes and manage our operations. The first orphanage we have began to work with is located in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan. We hope to create our own Dream Home (Rumah Impian) for the children we are supporting.

Meet The Team

Mr.Maren Subramaniam, the founder of Yayasan Kebajikan Rakyat Malaysia (YKRM), is a risk taker who is unfazed by setbacks and relentless in his pursuit of a good future for humanity. He is the greatest pillar of support for his wife, Prem Shivani, who is the President of YKRM, and he sets an example to his family and others with whom he works closely. When it comes to Mr.Maren, humanity has had the upper hand. Since the age of 20, he has been developing his career from the ground up. At the age of 27, he established his own business in SME scale, and his hard work paid off, and he is now the creator of Globe Resources SDN BHD, that has roots in China, Singapore, Cambodia, and India. Globe Resources Sdn Bhd is in the process of establishing its own manufacturing facility in Puchong. They’re also working closely with Polis Di Raja Malaysia for Software IT related.
Mr. Maren’s mission as the founder of YKRM he is he first to raise his hand to help the needy, With the team and volunteers he is assembling now, he will continue to provide humanitarian relief to the disadvantaged.

YKRM is deeply honoured that Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim has graciously accepted our humble invitation to become the official patron of our foundation. Tan Sri Dr. Rais Yatim has had a long and chequered career in Malaysian politics and administration.

Coming from a humble administrative career background, Shivani is always passionate about what she does. She strongly believes that in order to succeed you have to believe in something with such a passion that it becomes a reality. Her humility means she is never afraid to admit she doesn’t know everything and will always strive to boost her skills. Working closely with the Chairman, her strong sense of purpose and unrelenting hard work is a major contributing factor in turning her passion for helping children and the needy into establishing a charity foundation. She became a part of Yayasan Kebajikaan Rakyat Malaysia (YKRM) and more blessed after being the President of the organisation. It is a great opportunity for her to take over her father’s footsteps who had always believe in reaching out to the nation regardless of their demographic. Her father, the late Mr Maniraj was the MIC leader in Bahau Negeri Sembilan. His name was also given for a road at BAHAU Negeri Sembilan. He was always a helping hand to everybody and never expected any favour in return. A great politician who was a problem solver for many and would go all out to fulfil those who requested favours from him. He was never a self-centred man and always gave more importance to the society. Through this Yayasan, she believes that she had been blessed with an opportunity to take over her father’s role and help the community out there more towards those in need. Shivani is very well inspired by her late father and will go out of the way to portray a great image of being his youngest child doing exactly what he had always practiced.
Shivani has been resolutely committed to improving the community through a diverse range of charitable endeavors. Her charitable and community résumé bears witness to an extraordinary level of dedication, vision and determination in an area of her life that is as integral to her as running and developing YKRM.
